Former Indian batsman, Sanjay Manjrekar on Saturday, took to Twitter to compare Hardik Pandya’s innings with Amitabh Bachchan. Notably, Pandya struck a quickfire 93 when other batsmen found it tough to tackle the South African pacers.
India was struggling at 76 for 5 when Pandya came to bat for the visitors. He started off a bit late but soon gathered momentum as he went after the Proteas bowlers who was in red-hot form. Pandya took just 95 balls with the help of 14 boundaries and one six.
Manjrekar compared the dual role of the legendary actor with Pandya’s transformation from a T20 player to the Test arena.
Like Amitabh Bachchan used to play those double roles, Hardik Pandya also showed two characters in his superb innings. The modern T20 player along with the orthodox classical Test batsman.#<!---->I<!---->N<!---->D<!---->v<!---->S<!---->A #<!---->H<!---->a<!---->r<!---->d<!---->i<!---->k<!---->P<!---->a<!---->n<!---->d<!---->y<!---->a #<!---->S<!---->o<!---->n<!---->y<!---->T<!---->e<!---->n<!---->1

Pandya ensured that his team doesn’t concede a big first innings lead. However, the comparison did not go down well with the fans of Bachchan.
Pls don’t compare @<!---->S<!---->r<!---->B<!---->a<!---->c<!---->h<!---->c<!---->h<!---->a<!---->n: a legend, a superstar to a newbie. Pandya need to fulfil many roles to even come close to the great Big B.

South Africa took a lead of 77 runs after restricting India within 209 runs. The host ended the days play at 65 for 2 with Pandya shinning with the ball. He removed both the openers after the Proteas got off to a good start.
Going into the third days, India will like to bowl out South Africa as early as possible. On the other hand, South Africa will eye to post a mammoth target and bowl India out in the remaining two days.
