Veteran Indian commentator, Sanjay Manjrekar, has responded to a Twitter user who tried to take a dig at Manjrekar calling him a ‘bits and pieces’ commentator. It is notable that Sanjay Manjrekar has been involved in a lot of controversies over the years off the field because of his remarks on a certain player or a team.
Manjrekar has been absolutely vocal about his opinions and the veteran commentator has fired shots at a plethora of cricketers during his stint away from the field. One of the major controversies that Manjrekar has been involved in, surfaced between him and Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, when, during the 2019 Cricket World Cup, Manjrekar labelled Jadeja as a ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer.
Manjrekar was heavily criticized by the fans for his remarks on Ravindra Jadeja as Jadeja has gone on to become one of Indian’s most influential all-rounders in limited-overs cricket.

“I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar had said.
To this, Ravindra Jadeja took to Twitter and wrote, “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea”
