Once again, Sanju Samson grabs the media and selectors attention with a stunning knock in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy game against Goa. The flamboyant batsman smashed a double century to his name thus making things fall in place. Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir conveys his congratulations to the youngsters via his Twitter panel.

Samson slammed an unbeaten 212 runs off just 129 deliveries in the innings, which included 21 fours and 10 sixes. The Kerala cricketer went past Pakistan’s Abid Ali for the highest-ever List A score by a wicketkeeper in the match. Ali scored 209* for Islamabad against Peshawar in Pakistan’s National One Day Cup.

Recently, Sanju Samson has thrown his name back in the ring with a belligerent 48-ball 91 as India A romped to a 36-run win over South Africa A in the fifth and final unofficial ODI. Now, the double-century will certainly put the selectors under the pressure to test him out.

For a long time, Sanju Samson has seen as the next biggest thing in Kerala. Sanju Samson is a fine wicket-keeper batsman, who is sound in technique, both with bat and behind the stumps. He made his first-class debut at the age of 17 for Kerala against Vidarbha.

Immediately, he made an impact but unfortunately, never impressed selectors despite having enormous run-tallies. This is not the first time Gambhir backed Sanju Samson, he always kept Samson in the scheme of things but selectors never considered.
