England's Sarah Glenn Alleges 'Drunk Man' Infected Her With COVID-19 Deliberately

The world continues to grapple against the outbreak of novel coronavirus pandemic with vaccines being tested by a lot of researchers. The pandemic situation has shown us the good and bad signs of humanity. England bowling all-rounder Sarah Glenn shared her part of the story in these devastating times.

Sarah Glenn alleged that she was deliberately infected with coronavirus by a drunk men when she visited a shop during the lockdown in April. Glenn first came to know that she had contracted with the deadly virus after undergoing anti-body test during lockdown back in April.

Glenn, in an interview with The Telegraph, said that she suspected the man to be drunk as he bumped into her and laughed. It made Glenn uncomfortable as he again bumped into her which made the cricketer leave the store. The 21-year-old mentioned that she returned back home angry and told her parents that she might fall ill.

“I came across this bloke who bumped into me and laughed. I think he was drunk,” Glenn said.

“I came home so angry. I said to my parents, ‘If I get ill next week I’m going to be fuming’. And there I was next week in bed. It was not great,” she stated.

Glenn was named the England’s woman cricketer of the year. After the incident broke out, she recalled being angry as youngsters mentioned that she would be fine. According to reports, she is currently self-isolating in a hotel room in Adelaide, where she has gone for her first Big Bash.

Glenn has 22 wickets in the shortest format of the game at an average of 12.63 with the best bowling figures of 3/15.
