Virat Kohli had a brilliant outing in the recently concluded T20I series between India and England, as his batting and captaincy made it possible for the home side to pocket the series 3-2. India won the fifth and final T20I on March 20 by 36 runs.

Virat Kohli had a very good series with the bat scoring three half-centuries and remaining unbeaten in all three matches scoring 73*, 77* and finally 80*. The 80* in the fifth and final T20I enabled India to post 224/2 in 20 overs after Eoin Morgan had won the toss and chose to bowl first in Motera, Ahmedabad.

Now the caravan moves to Pune for the three-match ODI series with the matches being played on March 23, 26, and 28. Many of the players took to social media to document their journey from Ahmedabad to Pune for the ODI series and Virat Kohli was caught by a photographer in the airport with his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika.

Virat Kohli didn’t post any photos on social media with his family during the T20I series or while traveling to Pune for the ODI series, but fans spotted him at the Ahmedabad airport and shared the pics on various platforms. Kohli can be seen with his wife Anushka Sharma and newborn Vamika. They have their mask on in the pic.

The BCCI now allows the families of cricketers to stay with them for the whole series in the bio-bubble, hence Anushka had joined Virat in Ahmedabad during the Test series. Since the venue hosted the last two tests and five T20Is, the players stayed in the city for a month.

The ODI series between India and England will be played behind closed doors with the state of Maharashtra experiencing a spike in COVID cases recently. The fixtures are slated to be played on March 23, 26, and 28. All the matches will have 1:30 PM starts.

There are a few changes in India’s ODI line-up. Suryakumar Yadav, Krunal Pandya, and Prasidh Krishna were included for the first time while the likes of Sanju Samson, Manish Pandey, and Navdeep Saini were dropped. England will miss the services of Jofra Archer due to his elbow injury and Joe Root.
