Sanju Samson broke the record of the highest individual score in a Vijay Hazare Trophy when he smashed a double century in Vijay Hazare Trophy match. Kerala banked on a double ton from Samson and a century from Sachin Baby to post 377 runs. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who also hails from Kerala, heaped praise on the batsman as urged the selectors to give him an opportunity.
The wicket-keeper batsman has been in the reckoning for a national call for quite some time now. He has been in spectacular for India A in recent time. Sanju Samson strengthened his claim with a double century against Goa in Alur earlier today.

Opting to bat first, Kerala lost their skipper Robin Uthappa in the fourth over which brought Samson in the middle. He looked in fine touch right from the onset and made it big when it mattered the most. Sanju Samson scored 212 runs from 129 balls including 10 boundaries and ten sixes to clinch the highest score in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Sanju Samson’s unbelievable hitting has moved every cricketer lovers in the country. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who also hails from Thiruvananthapuram same as Samson, congratulated the young batsman on his landmark. He also urged the BCCI selectors to take a look at him and urged him to give a chance in the limited-overs cricket.
