Selectors Should Speak To MS Dhoni Regarding His Future - Gautam Gambhir

The former swashbuckling opening batsman of India Gautam Gambhir isn’t pleased with the attitude of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Gautam Gambhir opines that selectors Should have a talk with MS Dhoni Regarding his future with the Indian National Cricket Team.
Ever since the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019, MS Dhoni has become unavailable for the Indian team. He didn’t tour to West Indies and also didn’t take part in the Home Series against South Africa. In the latest, he asked to extend his leave till November.

Speaking of the same, Gautam Gambhir quoted that the former skipper must clarify the selection panel regarding his career. He feels that any individual has no right to pick and choose the series, which he wants to play, especially, when the person is representing the country.

“I have always maintained this one thing. Retirement is an individual call, I think for me selectors should talk to him and ask him about his future plan. Ultimately for me, playing for India, you should not be picking and choosing series,” Gambhir told reporters.
Rishabh Pant Has Got Long Future –
Further, he also spoke on the left-handed batsman Rishabh Pant, who failed to make things fall in the place in recent past. Gautam Gambhir asked to stop criticising the youngster, who is still finding his feet in the Indian National Cricket Team.

“There is too much attention that is being given to a new player. He is just 21, he has played for last two and a half years. He has got two hundreds in Test cricket. We should not be comparing him with anyone, the team management should be backing him in the right way. He is still young and he has got a long future ahead,” Gambhir said.
Well, as Gautam Gambhir said, Mahendra Singh Dhoni should speak about his future in a clean way to the selection panel. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant would like to deliver at any cost for the Indian team in the upcoming series.
