Shai Hope Breaks Into The Top 10 Of The ICC ODI Rankings

The recently concluded series between India and West Indies saw some top-class players spreading their greatness over the three matches. Among all, Shai Hope has broken into the top ten of the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings following his consistent returns with the bat despite the Caribbeans going 1-2 down in the series.
Shai Hope makes massive gains
Hope has jumped five places to reach ninth position after scoring 222 runs in the series including an unbeaten 102 in the opening match in Chennai, which his side won before losing in Visakhapatnam and Cuttack. Shai Hope led the batting unit from the front which saw the team produce an improved batting effort from the last time when India toured West Indies four months back.

Shimron Hetmyer (up six places to 19th) and Nicholas Pooran (up 33 places to 30th) have also made significant movement in the latest chart following their excellent shows with the bat. In the bowler’s list, Sheldon Cottrell (up six places to 30th) and Keemo Paul (up 35 places to 104th) have also gained despite thier side losing the series.
Meanwhile, India’s Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma continue to dominate the chart occupying the top two places in the batting list. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have made notable gains with their consistent performance in the three-match series. Rahul’s 185 runs in the series have lifted him 17 places to 71st place while Iyer’s 130-run aggregate sees him move from 104th to 81st.
