Shane Warne To Mentor Rajasthan Royals in Upcoming IPL

Former Australian legend Shane Warne who was arguably the greatest spinner the world has ever seen is all set to be back in the Rajasthan Royals franchise albeit as a team mentor for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League. It was under Warne that Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural tournament in 2008. Warne was both the captain and coach of the franchise which was loaded with youngsters and no one gave them a  chance ahead of the tournament. However they proved the critics wrong and when the final came against the Chennai Super Kings, they were actually the favourites especially after their sensational run in the tournament.

Warne handled his troops to perfections and it was under his leadership that players like Yusuf Pathan and Ravindra Jadeja flourished. It was Warne who gave Jadeja the name “Rockstar”. Even as a bowler he bowled pretty well all through the tournament. He was like a father figure in the dressing room and everyone looked up to him.
