Sheldon Jackson Slams Fan For His Distasteful Tweet On Anushka Sharma And KL Rahul

The boom of social media has brought the fans closer to their beloved cricketers more than ever. Fans now remain updated about the cricketers’ life and the latter also make sure to interact with their thousands of followers on a daily basis. More often than not, the fans praise the cricketers and sometimes also criticise or troll them.

But in some cases, the fans end up posting derogatory tweets and something similar happened with Saurashtra star Sheldon Jackson. It all started when Sheldon questioned the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for allegedly not including any Saurashtra and ‘small state’ players in India A series.

Sheldon pointed out Saurashtra’s fine performance in recent times as he expressed his disappointment over the lack of opportunities. He also shared the statistics of leading run-scorers and wicket-takers in Ranji including Saurashtra players demanding transparency from BCCI selectors.

He received good support from his followers and few fellow cricketers including Manoj Tiwary. But then things turned nasty when an user posted a very distasteful comment. The troll targetted India Test opener KL Rahul who has struggled with the bat of late and pointed out his friendship with Bollywood actress and Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma.

The user asked Sheldon to develop friendship with Anushka, writing:

Well, it is safe to say that Sheldon was not at all impressed with the tweet and was quick to slam the user. The wicketkeeper-batsman told the user that he should learn some manners and keep families away from cricketing matters.
