Star Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has revealed the best bowler he has ever faced in international cricket. Shikhar Dhawan is now a veteran of the game and has had the honour of representing India on the global stage for quite some time now.

During his stint as an international cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan has had the opportunity to face a lot of quality bowlers all across the globe. Apart from playing international cricket, Dhawan has also been a regular in the Indian Premier League (IPL), a tournament where legends of the game come together to have the most fierce of battles.

Now, after having a plethora of experience of facing some of the most talented pacers all across the globe, Dhawan has named the best that he had ever encountered.

With no cricketing action due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, cricketers, present and past have gone into self-isolation. However, this has given them more time to spend with their families and fans. Shikhar Dhawan also revealed his choice in an Instagram live with former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan.

When asked about the best bowler he has ever faced, Dhawan had no hesitation in stating that it is Australian, Mitchell Starc who he thinks has been the best bowler he has ever faced. Mitchell Starc is one of the finest pacers of the current generation and has troubled Dhawan as well as several other Indian players on multiple occasions. In fact, Starc has dismissed thrice in ODIs and once in T20I so far.

Mitchell Starc Has Been A Match Winner For Australia In Recent Times

Mitchell Starc is undoubtedly among the top fast bowlers in world cricket at the moment. He is widely regarded as the successor of former Australian pacer, Mitchell Johnson and quite clearly, Starc has perfectly stepped into his boots since Johnson bid adieu to world cricket.

The 30-year old left-arm pacer Starc has played a total of 57 Test matches so far and has gone on to clinch 244 wickets in the format at an average of 26.97. He has also had the honour of representing the Kangaroos in 91 ODIs wherein he has scalped 178 wickets at an average of 22.22. Having played a total of 31 T20Is for Australia, Mitchell Starc 43 wickets at an average of 18.65.
