The No 1 Test team in the world, India is all set to play yet another home match against Test debutants, Afghanistan.
The match will start on Thursday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, and it will be a historic day in the Afghanistan cricketing.
They have made giants strides in international cricket which have escalated them to a position where they are just hours away to play their maiden Test match against India.
Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan is pretty excited to be part of the historic Test. Taking to his Instagram handle, Dhawan shared a picture of him celebrating a century in his signature style.
“Cannot wait for the historic one-off test match against @afghanistancricketboard tomorrow at Bengaluru! It’s always amazing to see the sport grow and I’m very happy to be part of this historic moment. C’mon boys!” his caption read.

Dhawan is an integral part of the Indian team. He has a pretty impressive record for the national team in Tests, especially in home conditions.
He started off his career with a stunning knock against Australia, and from there on he has been quite consistent in home conditions.
However, there is no denying the fact the Afghans have some top-class spinners who might pose a serious threat to Dhawan and Co.
The home team will be without Kohli
Meanwhile, the home team will be without their regular skipper, Virat Kohli, and Ajinkya Rahane will be leading India in his absence.
They will be the overwhelming favourites. However, Afghanistan has some good players in their ranks and can make a match out of it. The lack of experience will be a big factor for them, but they have the talent to pose a threat to top-class batsmen.
Dhawan will look to get back among runs ahead of the important tour of England. Despite the conditions being so different, the southpaw will look to get some important runs under his belt. Given spin-quartet Afghanistan have, we might see a green top on offer on Thursday.
