Shikhar Dhawan is in impeccable form since the last two games in the IPL 2020. The opener notched up two consecutive centuries to become the first player in the 13-year-long IPL to achieve the feat. However, his tremendous knock went in-vain as Kings XI Punjab won the match by five wickets.

The Punjab franchise, chasing a target of 165 runs, lost their top-order – KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle quite early. Nicholas Pooran held the fort for KXIP and was well supported by Glenn Maxwell to help KXIP cross over the line. The victory ensure KXIP to stay alive in the competition.
