Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant And Navdeep Saini Are Available For Delhi In Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019

The two stylish left-handed batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant alongside Navdeep Saini confirmed availability for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019. The trio set to be named in the Delhi squad for the upcoming tournament, which would certainly make Delhi as the tough contenders to win the tournament.

The move comes as a big boost for Delhi going into the tournament which will be played from September 24 to October 13. It will be interesting to see how many games Pant does manage to play because the Test series against South Africa starts on October 2.

India’s three-match T20 International series against South Africa ends on September 18 in Bengaluru but Delhi’s star players have confirmed their availability for the national one-dayers, confirmed Delhi and District Cricket Associations (DDCA) president Rajat Sharma.

Heartening to see them playing for Delhi – Rajat Sharma

Recently, along with Kohli, regular players of senior team like Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma have also been named among the star-studded probable that will make every other team take notice. Now, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Navdeep Saini have confirmed their availability.

“It’s really heartening to see that Rishabh, Shikhar and Navdeep opted to play for Delhi at first available opportunity. Virat and Ishant also want to help Delhi cricket and I am sure they will also take the field whenever possible.

“It was a promise they made to all Delhi cricket fans at the Annual Awards recently. It shows that DDCA and the players are on the same page to take Delhi cricket to greater heights and win titles.”

Rishabh Pant and Shikhar Dhawan have been playing together for a while now. Last year, Shikhar Dhawan shifted his IPL base from Hyderabad to Delhi. Since then, he and Rishabh Pant were the regular partnership-makers of Delhi. And also, the duo shares dressing room in International cricket.

Currently, they both are asked to play for the national team against the South African side. Shikhar Dhawan will open the innings alongside Rohit Sharma.
