Shikhar Dhawan Names The Toughest Bowler He Has Faced Ever

The lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic has given a chance to all the cricketers to engage in some friendly video call chats. Renowned players like Dale Steyn, Virat Kohli, Kevin Pietersen, and Rohit Sharma have used Instagram as a means to have some fun in quarantine. On this occasion, it was Shikhar Dhawan and his teammate Shreyas Iyer, who indulged themselves in a conversation. During the same, among the many revelations, Dhawan revealed the toughest fast bowler he faced.

The southpaw took the name of Dale Steyn when asked, who is the most challenging to bat against. It is by no means astonishing since Steyn is one of the premier fast bowlers of the current generation. Earlier, via Twitter, the legendary speedster also opened up to a question and answer session, wherein he replied to some interesting questions.

Dhawan also claimed that batting against off-spinners on turning wickets was also a nightmare. Amongst other answers, the left-handed batsman said that Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are his favourite actresses from Bollywood. As part of working on his other skills during the period of isolation, the 34-year old stated that he is sharpening his ability by playing musical instruments, specifically flute on Shreyas’ request.

He said that playing a musical instrument gives a person the maximum amount of peace and one can feel the vibrations resonating within their body. The opening batsman emphasized the need to learn the same since it is a productive way of passing time.

“Playing a musical instrument, the vibrations you can feel inside your body. Music gives you peace and everybody should try to learn how to play a musical instrument now especially because we have so much time due to spend at home due to the lockdown.” the Delhi batsman said during the live chat.
