On the Work Front:
Currently, Dhawan is plying his trade for Indian national team. Following his recent success in the Test match against Afghanistan, the team management kept trust on him to come good in England as well.
Recently, Dhawan registered a king pair in the practice game against Essex. However, Virat Kohli and the team is confident of southpaw doing well in the ongoing Test match.
Personally, England has always seen growth in Shikhar Dhawan’s career as far as limited overs format is concerned. He collected back-to-back golden bats for being Man of the tournament in ICC’s last couple of Champion Trophies.
Despite carrying a rich vein of form, his place in the longer version of the game was never steady. He was always given tough fight by KL Rahul and Murali Vijay who grabbed their chances by performing in overseas’ tours.
