Dhawan has a huge fan base just like most of the Indian cricketers and the explosive batter goes out of his way to make his fans happy.

A certain fan who goes by the name of Shankar had gone viral on the internet a few years back for his looks and mustache.

The die-hard fan also sported a similar look to that of his idol and got noticed instantly. Th Indian batsman has met this particular fan on numerous occasions while traveling but on this particular occasion, Dhawan and his wife Ayesha met Shankar’s family and gave them memories to cherish.

The gesture went viral and many fans lauded Dhawan’s human side as we don’t see the arch-rivals engage in such acts off-the-field. This time too,

Dhawan shared a picture with his ‘biggest fan’ and wrote, “It was wonderful meeting Shankar, “my biggest fan” and his family. They came all the way from Bangalore to meet me. I feel truly humbled when my fans go to such lengths. Thank you, Shankar and all my fans for your love and support. Love you all”.

When Pakistan fans praised Dhawan’s gesture

This is not the first time that Dhawan has been praised on the internet. Not too long back a Pakistani fan praised Dhawan’s gesture on social media.

The Indian cricketer had wished Shoaib Malik a speedy recovery after the latter was hit on his head. The unfortunate incident happened during the One-day International fixture against New Zealand, earlier this year.

Shoaib, who was batting in that game without wearing a helmet, got hit by a throw from Colin Munro.

Shikhar Dhawan then tweeted:

“Janab @realshoaibmalik, hope you’re recovering well and will be fit soon to be back on the field! Take care.”

Malik in reply wrote, “Alhumdulilah I’m feeling great, the ball that hit me is in critical condition tho. Thank u dosto for all the wishes, messages, and tweets. Please remember me in your Duas.”
