Former Indian National Cricket team player Sanjay Manjrekar has labeled young batsman from Mumbai, Shivam Dubey as the most handsome cricketer in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore bagged the service of Dubey shelling out Rs 5 crore from their purse on December 18 at Jaipur. A hard-hitting all-rounder from Mumbai, Dubey can also put batsmen in a spot with his right-arm medium pace bowling. In the 2019 IPL, Dube will join forces with the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in a star-studded Royal Challengers Bangalore dressing-room.
Dubey???s performance this season has been a silver lining for the Mumbai side, who otherwise have had a pretty disappointing campaign. The left-handed batsman has scored 489 runs in five games with two hundreds and three fifties at an average of just under 70. With the ball, Dube has taken 17 wickets with a best of 7/53 against Karnataka.
He was key to Mumbai winning the Vijay Hazare One-day Trophy, taking 3-29 in 10 overs against Delhi in the final. In addition to, Shivam Dubey shot to fame after striking five sixes in an over in a recent Ranji Trophy game.
Sanjay Manjrekar, however, was not sure how successful Dubey will be in the IPL. But he named him as the most handsome cricketer.
