Shoaib Akhtar says India Pakistan should more often play the bilateral series.

The recently concluded Test series between South Africa and India will be known for the supreme bowling performances from both the sides. India’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged the man of the match award while Proteas pacer Vernon Philander was named the man of the series. The likes of Kagiso Rabada, Morne Morkel, and Lungi Ngidi made life difficult for the Indian batsmen in the first two Tests and helped their side secure a Test win.

On the other hand, led by Virat Kohli, Indian pacers- Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah turned the table and handed a bitter defeat on the hands of Faf du Plessis’ men and kept their unbeaten record at the Wanderers intact.

Akhtar congratulates India

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar was all praise for the Indian bowlers. Akhtar congratulated the Indian bowlers on an emphatic win and wished luck to his country’s boys for the T20I decider against New Zealand. “Indian bowlers done a wonderful job in last test match against South Africa that’s what I like to see bowlers winning the test matches rather then batsmen. But here is a chance for Pak bowler to finish the t20 series in style against kiwis .. Go green..” he tweeted.

Having missed out on making the cut for the 2nd Test match, Kumar responded brilliantly and contributed with both bat and ball. The medium pacer scalped 10 wickets in 2 games and scored more than 100 runs in challenging conditions.

“Very happy. Whenever I get the chance, I try to do well and it came good at the right moment. I always enjoy batting, when it comes to Tests. It wasn’t an easy wicket but I wanted to stay there as long as possible and luckily runs came too. It was an amazing track to bowl on, there were a few awkward balls, but overall it was good.” Kumar said after lifting India to a 63-run win.
