Shoaib Akhtar Names The Bowler Who Can Replicate His Bowling Attitude

The world has not seen a bowler as fast as Shoaib Akhtar since his retirement. While his pace did drop towards the end of his career, he was by far the fastest bowler in the world in his prime. The sight of Shoaib Akhtar’s long run up and delivering thunderbolt was terrifying for any batsmen.

In the last one decade or so, the likes of Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, Shaun Tait, Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada have impressed with their pace. However, no one comes close to Shoaib Akhtar as far as bowling over 150 kmph on a consistent basis is concerned. The former Pakistan speedster also holds the record for bowling the fastest ever delivery in the game.

And while only time will tell whether the world will see another fast-bowler like Shoaib Akhtar, the legendary pacer believes that Pakistan youngster Naseem Shah could match him in terms of attitude and anger. Not only that, he also said that Naseem Shah and he would have made a fine pair.

“Among the present lot of fast bowlers, I feel Naseem Shah can replicate my bowling attitude and anger. Naseem and I would have made a fine pair with the same attacking attitude,” said Shoaib Akhtar.

Naseem Shah became a worldwide sensation after impressing in international cricket. He made his debut in Australia at just 16. Just few days after his debut, he impressed at home against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He picked up a five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka and a hat-trick against Bangladesh. In the process, he became the youngest bowler to take a hat-trick in international cricket.
