Shoaib Akhtar Reveals The Nicest Human Being Off The Cricket Field

There has always been a complex relationship between India and Pakistan due to a number of historical and political events. Talking about sporting ties between the two countries, cricket has often been political in nature. Both the nations have not been playing bilateral cricket since 2012. India and Pakistan only play against each in ICC tournaments now due to political tensions between the two countries.
While the political relationship between the two countries has never been good, however, the cricketers from both countries share a great deal of affinity. Recently, the former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has given one more example of a good relationship between India and Pakistan cricketers.
The Rawalpindi express had recently posted a video on his popular YouTube channel in which he was seen chatting with some of his friends. In what was a question and answer session, Shoaib Akhtar was given ‘unexpected questions’ by his compatriots. Meanwhile, one of the persons asked Shoaib Akhtar to pick the best human being off the cricket field.

It was not a tough question to answer. In response, Shoaib Akhtar picked former India fast bowler Ashish Nehra as the nicest person off the field. Akhtar highlighted that Ashish Nehra was a good bowler while adding that he was a very good human being.
The legendary pacer also went heap praise on Nehra, adding that the left-arm fast bowler was always ready to offer assistance. “Ashish Nehra is a good bowler but a very good person. He was the best human being because he was always ready to help others,” Shoaib Akhar told.
Ashish Nehra donned the Indian jersey for nearly two decades before calling it quits from all forms of the game in the year 2018. He also made his India debut in 1999 and played 17 Tests, 120 ODIs and 26 T20 Internationals.
His career was ruined by a number of injuries. Ashish Nehra has been a significant part of Indian cricket history. He picked 44 wickets in Tests, 157 in ODIs and 34 in T20s. More importantly, he was also a part of the 2011 World Cup-winning squad.
