Jonty Rhodes Siddarth Kaul
Jonty Rhodes celebrates his birthday today.

Undoubtedly the greatest fielders of all time, Jonty Rhodes turned 49 todayand the whole cricketing fraternity wished him on his special day, and of them was the new Indi recruit, Siddarth Kaul.

Jonty was one such player who was part of the playing XI due to his sheer fielding skills. He was never a batsman who could make a significant impact in the game as he had limited shots up his repertoire. However, when it came to fielding, there was no one better than the ever lightening Jonty Rhodes.

Siddharth Kaul’s message to Rhodes

On this auspicious occasion, Kaul took to Twitter to wish him on his birthday. Meanwhile, the former South Africa star has been active among the fraternity even after his retirement. Of late, Jonty Rhodes had been a part of Mumbai Indians camp in the IPL.

He wrote,

“70% of the earth is covered by water, the rest 30% is covered by Jonty Rhodes” Happy Birthday to the man who defied gravity. The best ever fielder @JontyRhodes8”

Over the years, some of the catches which he took during his career were extraordinary. The famous run out of Inzamam-ul-Haq in the 1992 World Cup is still fresh in the memories of cricket lovers.
