Kaul achieved great heights in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) while representing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The pacer impressed with his pace, bounce and knuckleball variation. Thus, he was able to savor success in the tournament.

The Punjab fast bowler scalped 21 wickets in the 17 matches in the IPL for the runners-up Hyderabad – to be joint second highest wicket-getter.

Simultaneously, his good run of form helped him earn his place in the Indian squad.

Finally, Kaul received his well-deserved opportunity when he was given his maiden cap by former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.

Promising prospect Kaul cherished his special moment and said that he grew up to live this beautiful moment in his cricketing career.

Furthermore, Kaul was able to scalp his maiden wicket when he bowled a good short ball to Ireland’s opener James Shannon.

In fact, Kaul front foot landed just behind the popping crease. Thus, the Sunrisers’ pacer bowled two overs and conceded only four runs on his debut.

Siddharth Kaul took to Twitter as his post read as, “This is what I grew up for. This is where I always wanted to be. Wearing my country’s Jersey and representing it on the ground. To receive the honor from Mahi Bhai made it much more special ❤ @msdhoni
