Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni saved Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal from an embarrassing situation. Chahal wanted to go for a review after trapping Ireland’s opener James Shannon in front of the wickets. Thus, the leg-spinner nodded his head in affirmation while looking at Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

However, MS Dhoni who is regarded as the Decision Review System specialist reminded Chahal that there are no reviews available in the ongoing two-match T20I series. Therefore, Chahal was saved by Dhoni from calling a DRS call.

Meanwhile, Indian team cruised to a comfortable win in the first T20I against Ireland as they won by 76 runs. The Indian openers provided a perfect platform to the side as they put together an alliance of 168 for the opening stand. This was the second highest opening partnership for the Indian team.

Rohit Sharma scored a fine 97 while Shikhar Dhawan gathered 74 runs. Indian team openers thrashed the Irish bowlers to all the corners of the Dublin stadium.

Meanwhile, Indian wrist spinners breathed down the neck of the Irish batsmen. Yuzvendra Chahal scalped three wickets while his spin partner Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets. Thus, the host’s batters didn’t have much idea about the class of the Indian spinners. Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the Man of the match for his fine performance.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni came to bat at the number four position. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 11 runs off just five balls. Once again, Dhoni was a live wire behind the stumps as he affected two stumpings.

Here is how MS Dhoni reminded Yuzvendra Chahal that there are no Reviews in the series:
