Not long ago, former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the Chennai Super Kings to their third Indian Premier League title. Chennai defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in the final to lift the coveted title.
With the victory, they also became the most successful team in the competition along with Mumbai Indians (MI).
One of the greatest One-day International batsmen, Dhoni is known to be one of the most humble cricketers around. He never goes over the top and his calm and composed demeanour sets him apart from his peers.
It is because of his nature that the 36-year-old has a huge fan base all over the world. Dhoni made an impact with the bat in the recently concluded IPL. He came into the tournament on the back of some poor form.
The Jharkhand-based experienced campaigner Dhoni was unable to play the big shots and critics had suggested him to retire. However, the man silenced all his critics with a stupendous performance in the domestic professional Twenty20 league. He scored 455 runs in the tournament and smashed 29 sixes.
We all know, Dhoni loves simple things and leads a very simple life. During an IPL match, we witnessed Dhoni drinking normal mineral water during the drinks break.
On the other hand, a player like Virat Kohli spends so much on water products.
Given his humble nature a new meme “Simplicity Level” has been doing rounds on the social media. Dhoni is the latest person who is among the thick of things regarding this matter.
Dhoni has gone on to prove his simplicity level on several occasions. There is no doubt about the fact that he is one of the richest cricketers in the world.
But despite this, he tends to lead a very simple life. Around a year ago Dhoni made headlines when he decided to travel in train during a Ranji Trophy match with his Jharkhand teammates.
All those pictures where Mahendra Singh Dhoni lied down on the floor of an airport or in the field has gone viral and has been used by fans to create different memes hashtagged simplicity level.
