Snehasish Ganguly, elder brother of Sourav Ganguly and CAB secretary has rubbished the reports of him and his close relatives suffering from novel coronavirus after reports suggested that they have contracted with the deadly virus. Snehasish Ganguly said that he is perfectly healthy and going to office everyday.
Earlier reports, quoting PTI sources suggested, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly‘s brother has been tested positive for Covid-19. The report also said that the wife of Snehashish, his mother-in-law and father-in-law of Snehashish also tested positive for the disease last week. Earlier, a domestic help at Snehashish’s home in Mominpur was tested positive, as they are all undergoing treatment and have been advised to stay under isolation.
This is to clarify that Snehasish Ganguly is perfectly healthy: CAB
The CAB has issued a clarification statement which said that Snehasish Ganguly is in the pink of his health and attending office on a regular basis. “This is to clarify that CAB Honorary Secretary Snehasish Ganguly is perfectly fine contrary to the fake news doing rounds about his corona infection,” the CAB said in a statement.
“I am perfectly healthy and am doing ofice everyday. The news doing round about my illness is baseless and is not expected in these trying times,” said CAB secretary Snehasish Ganguly.
“Hope that after this, it will firmly put a lid on such untrue sensational news that are doing rounds”, Ganguly said.
Snehasish was a Ranji trophy player. Sourav Ganguly played along side his brother for Bengal in the prestigious tournament and once took his place in the final.
