The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman could not also continue due to the same rule.

Ganguly is a part-time commentator and only commentates in ICC events. He is also a cricket expert on television but will now have to stop taking media work. He also hosts a show on television.
