After being appointed as the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the southpaw Sourav Ganguly has faced quite a few questions from the media people. One of the obvious questions in the interaction was regarding the future of MS Dhoni in the game of cricket.

MS Dhoni is currently on sabbatical leave and was unavailable for the series against West Indies and South Africa. And, he will be unavailable for the upcoming Bangladesh series as well. Regarding the same, Sourav Ganguly recently quoted that he will speak to MS Dhoni over the issue.

When asked the same, Sourav Ganguly revealed that he is yet to speak with the former skipper. Further, the new BCCI president quoted that he will meet MS Dhoni soon before taking any decision on his future. During his statement, Sourav Ganguly mentioned MS Dhoni as the Great Man.

”I haven’t spoken with MS Dhoni yet. I will speak to great man in upcoming days of time. The comeback of MS Dhoni will completely depend on him. I don’t know what is there in his mind,” Sourav Ganguly quoted while speaking to the reporters.

MS Dhoni’s request for a two-month break post-India’s World Cup exit was approved by the BCCI after the former Indian captain stated that he would like to serve with his regiment in the Indian Army.

Meanwhile, the former India skipper Ganguly began his new innings as he took charge of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as its 39th president on Wednesday.

Sourav Ganguly was the only applicant to file his proposal for the top post. Earlier, he was unanimously chosen as the presidential candidate at a meeting earlier this month.
