South Africa Vs India: Right into the fightback mode, the top-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is looking ahead to stable the innings of Team India after watching out the morning session aptly which saw him waiting for the loose ball to score on, as Ravichandran Ashwin on the other side has been tested with short-pitch ploy by South African bowler in the form of Kagiso Rabada.
However, to be precise, in the first session, India faced 25 overs in which they collected 48 runs, as there is plenty to work.
When the lunch was introduced on the second day, the visiting side posts 76 for four on the scoreboard in 36 overs, as Pujara was batting on 26 off 91 deliveries and Ashwin managed to collect 12 off 23 balls.
The 29-year-old batsman Pujara played the ball so far according to its merit which further saw him shouldering the arms for most of the times.
Though scoring at the average of 28.57, Pujara has kept one side intact to take his side out of the trouble.
Following the long toil in the first session, South Africa managed to pick the crucial wicket of right-handed Rohit Sharma when he was trapped in front of the stumps by speedster Kagiso Rabada.
During the 29th over of India innings, Rohit received a delivery from Rabada which pitched on the outside of the off-stump channel and came in to thud the front pad well below the knee-roll of the former batsman who following the discussion with his partner Pujara opted for a Decision Review System.
However, the TV replays suggested the ball was hitting the middle stump, and third-umpire Paul Reiffel upheld the decision of on-field Michael Gough.
Rohit faced 59 deliveries for his 11 runs which saw the only boundary.
In the morning session of day two, Rohit and Pujara added 29 runs while showing the positive signs early on.
Earlier, India started off the proceedings from the overnight score of 28 for three in 11 overs.
