South African wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has begun a second innings in his life as he has tied the knot with his fiancée. The ‘Chinaman’ took to his official social media platform to come out with the surprise.

Meanwhile, the spinner is a part of South Africa’s upcoming tour to Sri Lanka. The Proteas will play five One Day Internationals, two Tests and a solitary Twenty20 International on their tour to the Island country.

Shamsi will look to cement his place in the South African set-up.

In fact, Shamsi is also part of the Test squad. Generally, Shamsi is given his chances in the limited-overs format for the South African side.

However, keeping the spinning conditions in mind, the South African selectors for Cricket South Africa (CSA) decided to give a chance to the promising spinner.

The first Test match will be played from July 12, whereas, the second Test fixture will kickstart from July 20.

The two-match Test series will be followed by five-match ODI series with the first One-dayer set to be played on July 29 at Dambulla.

Thus, Shamsi will be gearing up for the pivotal Sri Lankan tour. Consequently, Shamsi will like to cement his place in the Proteas playing XI ahead of the pivotal 2019 World Cup scheduled in England and Wales.

Moreover, South Africa will be without the services of their talismanic batsman AB de Villiers, who recently announced his shocking retirement. Thus, the visitors will like to be at the top of their game.

Meanwhile, speedster Dale Steyn has returned to the squad and would like to prove his mettle.

Tabraiz Shamsi took to his official Twitter handle to share the news of his marriage.

Shamsi said in the video, “Hi Guys What’s Up. I want to introduce you guys to somebody. Meet my beautiful bride. I just got married”.

Here is Shamsi’s post:

Cricket is my first love. I want to be a wordsmith. I want to weave magic with my words.
