Sponsors Roped in for India's T20 Series against Ireland

Online pharmacy Netmeds and cement manufacturer Dalmia got unveiled as sponsors of the Indian cricket team’s upcoming Twenty20 tour of Ireland.

Thus, the tour will officially be known as the Netmeds Cup Ireland vs India T20 Series 2018 Powered by Dalmia Cement. Virat Kohli & Co will play a two-match series will the Irish team.

Indian sports management company ITW Consulting and the Cricket Ireland governing body made the deal happen. Moreover, Dublin will host the two matches on June 27 and June 29, respectively.

Netmeds’ sponsorship comes after the company recently signed up MS Dhoni as their brand ambassador.

Meanwhile, Cricket Ireland’s commercial director, Dennis Cousins expressed his delight to announce the sponsors.

He also admitted this would be the biggest worldwide TV audience of any sporting event in Ireland.

Cricket Ireland anticipates that the T20I series against India will be the biggest worldwide TV audience of any sporting event ever staged in Ireland. We are happy that Netmeds and Dalmia Cement are now going to sponsor with this prestigious series,” he said.

The organisers also anticipated a sell-out crowds on both the games at Dublin. ITW Consulting co-founder, Bhairav Shanth said it received an overwhelming response.

The men in blues, however, will look to complete their preparation for the England series in that tour.

They will play three T20Is and ODIs each followed by five Tests against the Three Lions. It will be an all-important tour with both teams not leaving an inch to each other.
