Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear or read the names of these two champion cricketers? The best of their generation? The best in the world? Driven individuals with the sole objective of being the best possible version of themselves? Record-breakers? Record-churners? Living legends?

Well! Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are an amalgamation of those aforementioned facts. While Sachin ruled the roost and enthralled the folklore for a period of 24 hours, breaking almost every single record there is in the book through his sheer grit, perseverance, and relentlessness, Kohli is doing the same in the modern era.

And, so the debate rages on as to who is better among the two legendary cricketers. Former Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth has played with both of these champions and the pace bowler was asked the same question during a show on Sports Tak, where he chose Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar over Virat.

Sreesanth picks Sachin Tendulkar over Virat Kohli; Jasprit Bumrah over Pat Cummins

Sreesanth has always maintained that Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest-ever batsman to have ever played the game. Last year, during an interaction with Latestly, the former fast bowler was asked the same question and his answer was-

Everybody calls him Sachin bhai but I address him (Sachin Tendulkar) as paaji for a reason. I respect Virat for whatever he has done but Sachin paaji can never be replaced or can never be compared to any other new or old cricketer. Sachin Tendulkar for the next 1000 generation will be someone who gave hope to the small cricketers like me never even thought that I could play club cricket,” S Sreesanth told Latestly last year.

Sreesanth was also asked to pick his choice between Jaspreet Bumrah and Pat Cummins and the Kerala fast bowler opted for the Indian bolter. Bumrah, who was typecasted as a limited-overs specialist during the initial stages of his career, has grown by leaps and bounds in the past two years. In 14 Tests, the Indian pace-spearhead has claimed 68 wickets which includes a five-wicket-haul in West Indies, England, South Africa, and Australia.
