Apart from the game of cricket, the fast bowler Sreesanth always had a passion to work in the film industry. The flamboyant cricketer, who recently got the green signal to play the game again, set to make his Kollywood debut opposite Hansika Motwani in a horror-comedy film.

Hansika Motwani is a popular actress in India, having worked in almost all industries. She has got blockbuster movies in her kitty, which certainly gave her a successful career. Now, she is all set to share the screen space with the ICC World Cup winner Sreesanth in a horror-comedy film.

As per a report in Times of India, the movie will be filmed by director duo Hari Shankar and Hareesh Narayan and will be produced by Ranganathan. They are known for their movie called Ambuli, which was the first stereoscopic 3D film in Kollywood.

”It will be a thorough horror film, but will not be dark or gory; humor will be an important element in the script. Hansika loved her character graph and readily came on board. Hari-Hareesh and producer Ranganathan recently met Sreesanth for a script narration; his character has shades of grey,” Source said.

Humbled for the role, says Sreesanth:

The directors and producer recently met Sreesanth for the script narration. The rest of the cast will be locked soon and will go on floors in December. The movie will be set in Chennai. However, they are yet to give a title to the movie. Regarding the same, Sreesanth tweeted a picture saying that he was humbled.

Previously, in August 2013, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) banned Sreesanth for life along with Rajasthan Royals’ Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan for their alleged involvement in spot-fixing in the 2013 IPL.

However, the Supreme Court differentiated the BCCI disciplinary committee’s order and the suspension was brought down to seven years, allowing him to play next year.
