Sri Lanka Legends Squad For Road Safety World Series 2020

Sri Lanka Legends, on Sunday (February 16), announced their squad for the upcoming Road Safety World Series 2020. The much-awaited tournament will kickstart on March 7 when Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends take on Brian Lara’s West Indies Legends at an iconic Wankhede in Mumbai.

A total of eleven matches will be played. Wankhede Stadium will host two games while MCA Stadium in Pune will host four games. The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host four games, while the final will be held at the Brabourne Stadium on March 22.

A total of five teams will take part in the T20 cricket tournament. The series will feature some of the biggest names in cricket from India, Australia, Sri Lanka, West Indies and South Africa.

The other three teams in the tournament are – India Legends, Australia Legends and South Africa Legends.

Tillakaratne Dilshan to lead Sri Lanka Legends for the Road Safety World Series 2020:

Talking about the Sri Lanka Legends squad, the former Sri Lankan captain Tillakaratne Dilshan will lead the side. Dilshan will bat alongside legendary Lankan batsman Marvan Atapattu. All-rounders including Farveez Maharoof and Chamara Kapugedara will represent the Lankan legends.

Spin legends Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath will also be a part of the Sri Lanka Legends team.  Chaminda Vaas will strengthen the pace bowling attack of the Lankan Legends. Dilshan is expected to keep the wickets for the team.
