Touring Asian country and knocking a century for the team in Test format always requires a great effort for the overseas batsman. As they hardly come across the spin pitches, playing against the high-class spinners is always a tough task to achieve. Meanwhile, Joe Root knocks it for England and the Indian great Virender Sehwag impressed with it.
Sehwag has always been pretty active on social media. He expresses his view on his official panel with a mix of sarcasm and genuine. Meanwhile, in his latest tweet, Sehwag congratulated Joe Root for his solid 124 against Sri Lanka.

Digging into his tweet, it read ???A truly very special century from Joe Root.??? The fans and followers of Sehwag also joined him in wishing the England skipper for his stunning knock.
A truly very special century from Joe Root.
As it happened:
After the conclusion of the Day 2 play, hosts were slightly on the upper hand, after the special effort from Roshen Silva. Silva???s incredible knock left England stunned, as he played a superb saviour knock for Sri Lanka.

However, Day 3 is all about England???s batting. They played throughout the day, where Joe Root???s century is the major talking point. However, Sri Lanka would also be happy with their effort, as they rattled 9 wickets.
Finally, Rory Burns got to his fifty but the other batsmen failed to show their mojo. If not Joe Root???s knock,. the situation would have been pretty worse for the visitors. He finished with 124 to his name and handed England a lead of 278 on the board, at the end of Day 3 stumps.
Ben Foakes once again stood tall in the middle with an unbeaten fifty to his name. Akila Dananjaya was the pick of the bowlers with 6 wickets while Perera bagged a couple of wickets.
