Former Australia skipper Steve Waugh has backed Virat Kohli to break all the records except Don Bradman’s average. Virat Kohli is breaking and creating new records in the game. Kohli has been super consistent with his batting and continues to amaze one and all with his batsmanship.

The Indian skipper also completed 10,000 ODI runs recently. The talisman batsman reached the milestone in just 205 innings, as he became the fastest to reach the illustrious landmark. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar had completed his 10,000 runs in 259 innings.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli is just 29 years old. Thus, he has still got another eight years of International career. Therefore, if Kohli continues with the same form and intensity, he is expected to break all the annals of the game.

Meanwhile, Sir Don Bradman had an average of 99.94 in Test cricket. He needed four runs to have an average of 100 in his last innings but was unfortunately dismissed for a duck.

“He’s (Virat Kohli) got the passion and hunger, the fitness, the desire, the intensity and he loves playing the game. Unless he gets seriously injured, I think he’ll break all the batting records besides Bradman’s average,” Waugh said while talking to cricket.com.au.

Meanwhile, the World Cup winning captain of Australia also praised the young sensation of Indian cricket, Prithvi Shaw. The prodigy batsman had a good start to his International career as he scored 237 runs in his debut series. Thus, he was awarded the Man of the series.
