The all-rounder from Lancashire and Nottinghamshire, Steven Mullaney will lead the England Lions side in the upcoming tri-series involving India A and West Indies A. The series will be commencing on June 22 at County Ground in Derby.

Meanwhile, Mullaney has been in the rich vein of form for Nottinghamshire this season in the ongoing Royal London One-Day Cup. He amassed 316 runs at an average of 50 with the highest score of 124 against Durham.

Moreover, he played a  pivotal role in helping the County side to win the One-Day Cup.

In 2017 semifinal clash against Essex, Mullaney had cracked an impressive 75-ball 111. In addition, to his aggressive batting, Mullaney also bowls medium-pace.

The squad also have young prospects like Nick Gubbins, Sam Hain, Liam Livingstone, Ben Foakes, Sam Curran, Tom Helm. The Hong Kong-born Hain showed his mettle with a valiant 144 in challenging condition against Windies A.

Hain is also at the top of the batting charts (426 runs at 106.5) for Warwickshire in the Royal London Cup.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore, the destructive batsman, who left Worcestershire last season, has been in stellar form. He amassed 451 runs for Yorkshire in the 2018 50-over tournament.

Meanwhile, Livingstone, the Lancashire captain, has already played two Twenty20 Internationals for England.

Junior Curran, who recently played in the Leeds Test, Tom Helm, Craig Overton, Matthew Fisher, and Reece Topley will form the bowling unit.

Further, Mathew Parkison, the leading wicket-taker in the Royal London Cup so far, is the main spinner.

All three teams will play two matches each against the other two sides. The final will be on July 2 at the Oval.
