Smith had suffered an elbow issue during his stint with Comilla Victorians at Bangladesh Premier League. He underwent surgery for the elbow issue and there were also reports that he had been ruled out of IPL.

That also put his World Cup participation in doubt as Smith had to wear a brace for six weeks.

It seems like he has been declared fit early and if he is ready to play, Smith can be part of Australia squad Pakistan ODI series, the fixtures of which have been confirmed.

If he is cleared to participate, Smith can be part of 4th and 5th ODI against Pakistan that will be played on March 29 and 31 respectively.

The one-year ban on him and David Warner ends on March 28 and they can return to international cricket from March 29.

However, their participation in the series will depend on the fact whether Australian selectors will confirm whether they will be part of last two ODIs or not.

Talking of IPL, Smith will be turning up for Rajasthan Royals if fit.

The former captain of the franchise will miss a few matches of the league if selected for the last two ODIs.

He will also have an early exit from the tournament as Australian players have to report back to Cricket Australia before May 1 to prepare for the World Cup.

The big news for Rajasthan Royals is that Steven Smith looks fit and would be turning up for the franchise in the upcoming season.

He was retained by the franchise in its comeback year but a ban by Cricket Australia saw BCCI not allowing him and Warner to play in the tournament.

Warner, who also suffered an elbow issue during BPL, is now fit and will surely turn up for the one-time champion team.
