India’s former medium-pacer Sudeep Tyagi has named Chris Gayle as the most challenging batsman he has ever faced. Tyagi has played for Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Whereas, Chris Gayle, on the other hand, has had a long stint with the Royal Challengers Bangalore before moving to Kings XI Punjab. Over the 12 years, Tyagi and Gayle have faced each other on a number of occasions.

Speaking exclusively to CricketAddictor.com, Tyagi said, “Chris Gayle is the most challenging batsman I have ever faced in my entire career. Although there have been other batsmen as well who have dominated in the T20 format, but when it comes to picking the best, no one even comes close to Gayle. He is the best in the business.”
Chris Gayle Has Had A Legendary Career So Far
The explosive batsman Gayle is the leading run-scorer in all forms of T20s. He has scored 13,296 runs. The southpaw is the only batsman to score 10,000 Twenty20 runs in his career. Besides, Gayle holds the records of smashing most T20 centuries. He also has the most IPL centuries to his name.
Gayle is the fastest batsman to score 4000 runs in IPL. He is the first and only batsman to hit 300 sixes in IPL. He holds the record of the highest individual score in T20 with 175* (off 66 balls) against Pune Warriors India, which he made as an opener. This innings also set the record for fastest century ever in T20 cricket, taking 30 balls.
