Suranga Lakmal Returns To The Sri Lanka Test Team

Sri Lanka’s fast bowling spearhead, Suranga Lakmal has made his way back to the Test Team for the series against Zimbabwe. He suffered from Dengue fever recently and could not be a part of the side that travelled to Pakistan to play a Test series. However, Sri Lanka lost the Test series 1-0, his absence from the team had a huge impact on the Lankan bowling. Sri Lanka will travel to Zimbabwe to play Test series that consists of two games, the first of which will be played from 19th January.
Suranga Lakmal is an important member of the Lankan squad. Sri Lanka suffered his experience and versatility in the Tests against Pakistan. He is a seasoned campaigner and has a good experience of Sub-continent cricket. In his absence, Pakistani batsmen went on to score 555 runs in the second innings of the second Test.

Suranga Lakmal is inevitable to the Lankans
Lakmal has a huge experience of international cricket. He has played a total of 59 Test Matches. In these matches, he has clinched a total of 141 wickets with an average of 39.00. He has three five-wicket hauls to his name in Test Cricket. His best bowling figure in a Test match is 7/119.
