The former swing master of team India, Praveen Kumar called curtains on his international career. He announced the news via his official Twitter panel with a heart-melting note. Meanwhile, the stylish southpaw Suresh Raina, who is the teammate of Praveen Kumar from childhood days paid tribute to him.

Gone are those days when the cricket fanatics used to set their alarms to see the Praveen Kumar’s fast bowling in the overseas games. Whenever the new ball is on offer, the automatic weapon for team India was Praveen Kumar. However, the frequent injuries and the drop down in his pace made his ouster from the side.

Meanwhile, Praveen Kumar’s tweeted saying it is tough to leave his first love but accepted that the time has come to call curtains. He also thanked BCCI and UPCA for their support to him over the years.

Suresh Raina’s tweet read ”Here is to a new beginning brother! I feel privileged to have shared some amazing moments together during your tremendous cricketing journey. Heartfelt wishes for all the success ahead and a joyful life!”

”It has been a great journey. It’s been a great life. With a heavy heart, I want to say goodbye to my 1st love #CricketMeriJaan But the test cap no 268 and ODI 170 will be mine till Indian cricket era will continue… Thank you, BCCI and UPCA for helping me to live up my dream,” he added.

However, it has been a roller-coaster ride for Praveen Kumar. Despite all the ups and downs, he will always be remembered for his aggressive approach to the game and his quality swing.
