Former India cricketer Suresh Raina left the CSK camp in a huff. His decision to leave the CSK camp due to ‘personal reasons’ saw a lot of speculations being made on the actual reasons. A media report also claimed that Suresh Raina was not happy with the hotel room given to him in Dubai. Besides, the veteran finding the stiff protocols of the bio-bubble claustrophobic and wanting a similar room like MS Dhoni.
Raina cleared the air on his return to India and said that it was all fabricated stories by people who don’t want to see him succeed in CSK. The left-handed batsman however said that he might return to CSK camp again but before that he needs to take care of his responsibilities as there were things he needed to address.
“These are all fabricated stories and anyone who knows me, knows that these are all stories planted by people who don’t want me or CSK to succeed,” Raina told NDTV.
“You never know, you might see me in the camp again. First, I have to take care of my responsibilities here and then am ready
“It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately at the home front,” the left-hander said of his decision to leave the CSK camp in the UAE.
“CSK is my family too and Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is most important to me and this was a tough decision but with the family back home, I had to come back for them,” he added.
The CSK loyalist indicated that it was largely due to the attack on his family in Pathankot that made him take the decision.
Raina’s aunt and cousin were left with several injuries. His bua is critically injured and while his cousin passed away. He had asked the Punjab police to intervene in the matter. The former India cricketer has also cleared now that CSK and MS Dhoni are like family to him and it was a tough decision to make for him. He however cleared that he might return to join the CSK camp again.
