T10 League: Punjab Legends Ropes in Zaheer Khan for Upcoming Season

Former India left-arm speedster, Zaheer Khan is all set to return to professional cricket, as he got picked to play in the T10 League, scheduled in Sharjah from 23^rd November to 2^nd December.

However, eight teams have formed the best combinations from a pool of 64 top cricketers in the Players drafts for the T10 League.

All the teams are Kerala Kings, Punjab Legends, Maratha Arabians, Bengal Tigers, The Karachians, Rajputs, Northern Warriors, and Pakhtoons. However, they have been drawn in two different groups.

Meanwhile, the two teams, the Karachians, and the Northern Warriors got added to the list of earlier six teams. Also, this year’s tournament will feature many Afghanistan players after they have displayed exceptional skills in different T20 Leagues all across the globe.

Punjab Legends picked Zaheer Khan 

The defending champions Kerala Kings have bagged the services of Chris Gayle, Pakistan speedster Junaid Khan, Nepalese leg-spinner Sandeep Lanichhane, Tom Curran, Niroshan Dickwella. Meanwhile, Imran Nazir has also got included to the list.

Meanwhile, the runners-up from the previous edition, Punjab Legends have bagged the services of some big players like Chris Jordan, Luke Ronchi, Liam Plunkett, Mohammad Sami, and Zaheer Khan. However, former India great hasn’t played any professional cricket for a long time. Hence, it won’t be easy for him to make a comeback in professional cricket directly.

The Bengal Tigers will have some good players like Morne Morkel, Mohammad Nabi, Kusal Perera, Sherfane Rutherford, Kevon Cooper, Dan Christian and Rayad Emrit.

The International Cricket Council has sanctioned the T10 League, which is the first ten-over professional cricket tournament.
