Once again, the Bangladesh Cricket Team suffered a major blow in the form of Tamim Iqbal. The stylish southpaw once again picked an injury to his finger, which kept his presence for the upcoming India tour in Jeopardy. On Thursday, he ruled out of National Cricket League match due to muscle strain.

Of late, Tamim Iqbal is facing fitness issues. Ever since, he suffered an injury in Asia Cup, later, in the World Cup, Tamim Iqbal is facing a tough time to get back to his nick. Despite scoring a stunning century in the BPL final, Iqbal wasn’t confident enough to be back in the side.

Now, during his recovery to back in the team for the upcoming series against India, he once again facing the issues with his fitness. Tamim Iqbal was ruled out of a National Cricket League match due to a muscle strain on Thursday.

A Grade One Team for Tamim Iqbal:

After having a successful rehab, he once again had the problems in the right side of his rib cage. Earlier, he had problems for the same and now, once again, he picks it as the same place. He was immediately asked to have scans in order to know the damage.

”He was feeling muscle strain on the right side of his rib and we decided to rest him as a precaution and sent him to BCB,” a Chittagong official confirmed to Cricbuzz.

“Tamim Iqbal already had this pain earlier and it probably resurfaced so we wanted him to have a scan and look into the gravity of the injury,” he further added. “It seems to be a grade one tear but you can come to know only after the scan is completed.”

The presence of Tamim Iqbal is of utmost importance for Bangladesh, as he is their best batsman against India. The flamboyant batsman has got brilliant record against India and always a man to rely on for Bangladesh across the formats. Bangladesh will play India in November in a three-match Twenty20 International series followed by two Test matches.
