Meanwhile, all eyes will be on the Indian batting unit today in what is a crucial day for both sides’ as they aim to assert their dominance on the Test match.

Joe Root’s brilliant unbeaten 180 on the third day helped England wipe out the deficit of 364 runs which India had posted on the back of an imperious ton by KL Rahul and an equally brilliant 83 by Rohit Sharma.

But, India’s similar middle-order struggles and a long tail meant that the visitors were not able to make the most of the start that the openers had given them on the first day.

While the onus will still be on the duo of Rohit-Rahul to once provide India a good start, the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajnkya Rahane will have to rise to the occasion to ensure that the visitors post a healthy lead to set-up the Test on the final day.
