Team Management Might Persist With MS Dhoni Till 2019 World Cup - Zaheer Khan

Doesn’t matter which format India are involved in, the debate over MS Dhoni is never-ending. Recently, the people sensed veteran wicketkeeper-batsman is retiring from the limited-overs format. However, former paceman Zaheer Khan feels in another way. The legendary fast bowler of India, Zaheer feels the former national skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be present in the ICC World Cup 2019.

Moreover, Zaheer feels that Jharkhand-based star is the best player India has got and hopefully, we will do well.

Zaheer Khan hails MS Dhoni:

The recent One-day International stint in England hasn’t gone well for Dhoni as far as his batting is concerned. Despite, he hasn’t got the support from the non-strikers, he was booed by the crowd for his slow batting, particularly during the Lord’s fixture.

Meanwhile, the rumours of Dhoni’s retirement grabbed the attention of world cricket.

Speaking of the same, Zaheer Khan feels that MS Dhoni will continue in the team till upcoming 2019 World Cup.

“If the team management has persisted with him till now, they might as well do it till the World Cup,” Zaheer told PTI on the sidelines of a seminar.

 

“Dhoni has performed the difficult job of captaining India for years. His experience could prove to be extremely beneficial. He is as good as we have got,” Zaheer said when asked about Dhoni’s future.

The former skipper of India is currently having the time of his own with his family. With Indian team scheduled to play the long Test series, MS Dhoni will be back in action when Asia Cup 2018 gets underway.

Precisely, India will play their first game on September 18th at Dubai International Stadium.

The 37-year-old MS Dhoni would be the centre of attraction again especially, after his ordinary stint in England. during 2019 World Cup.
