Team Members and Supports Staffs Laud Umesh Yadav as he claims his 100th Test Wicket

Indian Cricket team seamer Umesh Yadav achieved the landmark of 100 wickets with the dismissal of Afghanistan batsman Rahmat Shah in the first innings of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, he became the eight Indian pacer to do so. The Vidarbha pacer made his Test debut against Windies in 2011, at the age of 24 years.

Before Umesh, Mohammed Shami was the last Indian to achieve 100 Test wickets. However, he missed the historic Test as he failed to clear the yo-yo test. So far, including Umesh, 22 Indian bowlers have claimed 100 or more wickets in the longest format.

Anil Kumble holds the record for the most wickets in Test cricket by an Indian bowler with 619 scalps in 132 matches to his name. Among the pacers, the record belongs to legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev who took 434 wickets in 131 Tests.

Meanwhile, India is on the verge of victory with only two more wickets to win the game. The Indian bowlers did a terrific job to bowl out the visitors in the first essay within a session. Ravichandran Ashwin topped the chart with four wickets as th Afghans rattled out for 109.

However, in the second drop, it was combined effort of all the bowlers as Afghanistan struggled to put any resistance. Currently, they are at 92 for 8 staring a defeat in their debut Test.

Supports staffs and teammates congratulate Umesh

Meanwhile, the teammates were quick to appreciate the impressive feat achieved by Umesh. The support staffs also congratulated him from the dressing room.

The pacer returned in the second inning to claim two important wickets with the new ball to set the tone for the host.
