The first-ever Test match was played between England and Australia in 1877 and since then the prime strategy of every team has been to bury their opposition under a truckload of runs.
Australia were the first team that scaled Mount.600 in Test cricket when they racked up exactly 600 against England at the MCG. Since then, teams have scaled the barrier on 156 more occasions, with the highest being 6-952 by Sri Lanka against India in 1997.

Pakistan Cricket may be revered for its prodigious fast bowling talent over the year but they still manage to find their way into the fifth spot as far as scoring the most 600+ totals in the history of Test match cricket.
The Men in Green scaled Mount.600 for the very first time back in 1958 against the West Indies, racking up 8-657. Pakistan’s highest-ever Test total is 6-765 which they achieved against Sri Lanka in that infamous 2009 Test series at home.
Overall, Pakistan has 15 totals in excess of 600 in their cricketing history, four of which have resulted in a win while 11 of them have ended up in a drawn affair.
