The Indian Premier League provides a perfect platform to the worldwide players to raise their game. We have often seen in the past that performing well in the IPL helps players in getting a ticket to the Indian national team.
Similarly, we saw Ambati Rayudu and Siddharth Kaul getting a national call-up for the limited overs series in England. However, they will have to deliver consistent performances in the 50-overs format to cement their place in the Indian team.
There is still more than one year to go for the upcoming World Cup. It should be noted that a good performance in the IPL can get player a spot in the Indian squad. However, he has to perform consistently to make his place secure in the World Cup squad.

Rahul scored 659 runs in the 14 matches he played.
Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu was selected in India’s tour of England based on his IPL performance however he failed to clear the Yo-Yo Test which eventually ruled him out. Thus, the right-hander will like to improve his fitness. Rayudu will hope that he gets his chances in the Indian team.
Rayudu scored 602 runs in the 16 matches he has played in this season of the IPL.
Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant was able to hit the ground running with his performances. Daredevils gloveman impressed with his pyrotechnics.
Pant scored 684 runs in the 14 matches he played for the Delhi Daredevils. Pant is named in India A squad for the tour of England. The left-hander will like to make the most of his opportunity in the English conditions. Pant is yet to make his debut in the 50-overs format for India.
Siddharth Kaul

Siddharth Kaul got himself in the Indian squad after performing well for the runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, Kaul is yet to make his maiden appearance in India’s Blue jersey.
Kaul scalped 21 wickets in the 17 matches he played for the Orange Army. However, Siddharth turned out to be expensive in the fag end of the tournament. Overall, Siddharth conceded his runs at 8.64 runs per over in the season.
Umesh Yadav
Fast bowler Umesh Yadav was a regular in the Indian One-Day team in the 2015 World Cup. Furthermore, he was the third highest wicket getter with 18 wickets to his name. However, Yadav lost on his limited overs spot after concentrating more on Test Cricket.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer scalped 20 wickets in the 14 matches in the IPL.
Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav scored a truckload of runs for the Mumbai Indians while batting at the top of the order. In fact, the right-hander was the leading uncapped Indian run-getter in the tournament. Yadav scored 512 runs in the 14 matches.
However, Suryakumar hasn’t yet played for the national team.
Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson has shown all the promise to be the future of Indian cricket. The flamboyant right-hander scored 441 runs in the 15 matches in the IPL. However, the Kerala batsman faded away in the second half of the season.
Furthermore, Sanju also failed to clear the Yo-Yo test which ruled him out of India A tour of England. Thus, he would like to improve his fitness.
Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik has shown great form in the recent past. Moreover, the wicketkeeper-batsman led KKR with aplomb in his maiden stint as captain.
Karthik provided the finishing touches to the Men in Purple. The flamboyant right-hander scored 498 runs in the 16 matches of the IPL. Thus, he can be given his chances in the middle order.
Mayank Markande

Mayank Markande is still young at the big stage. The Punjab leg-spinner scalped 15 wickets in the 14 matches for the Mumbai Indians. However, Markande form dipped in the second half of the season.
Consequently, Markande will like to prove his mettle at the domestic level to get the national call-up.
Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya has not only shown good form in the IPL but also in the domestic circuit. Pandya scored 228 runs in the 13 innings and scalped 12 wickets in the IPL to give an all-around performance. Thus, he looks all ready to get the national team call-up.
Furthermore, Pandya will like to impress on India A tour of England.
