In the wake of Coronavirus pandemic, people all around the world are being advised to stay in quarantine at their homes. Several countries and states have imposed a lockdown, in order to curb the spread of this deadly virus. So far COVID-19 has affected more than 386 million people worldwide, and there have been 16,713 fatalities.

In the distressing times, such as these, people around the world putting their thinking caps on to fit boredom in isolation.

During a quarantine, things tend to get a little boring, and since so many people are confined to their homes, the masses are coming up with more and more unique ways of doing exercises or ways to keep them fit, even as they impose self-quarantine.

A viral video from Seville in Spain shows a fitness instructor taking aerobics class on the rooftop of his building.

All the neighbours joined him from their balconies and windows for a community aerobics session.

2) Playing Tennis through the windows

Another video that has been doing the rounds on the internet, shows two Italian boys playing tennis through the windows of their respective apartments.

The 25-second clip shows two people keeping the ball up in the air, and their rally has the netizens impressed! Italy meanwhile is one of the worst affected nations by the Coronavirus pandemic, with more than 6000 deaths already.

3) Running marathon in the balcony

While the world stays in lockdown, a French man decided to run a 40km marathon in his balcony!

As crazy as it sounds, Elisha Nochomovitz ran an entire marathon-length back and forth in his 7-metre long balcony.

We’ll leave the maths to you if you want to know how many rounds Elisha did.

It took the man six hours and 48 minutes to run 42.2 km precisely.

“I needed to assure myself that I could still run 40km,” said the 32-year-old who was preparing for an actual marathon.

4) James Anderson doing weightlifting

While the implications of Coronavirus are extremely deadly, people, who cannot go to the gym are finding unique ways to stay fit in quarantine times.

This video shows former England pacer Jimmy Anderson doing some weightlifting at his home, with the help of his daughters! Yes, Anderson can be seen doing exercises by lifting his children. Why should the disease be an excuse to not exercise after all?

5) Practising goalkeeping alone

Now the problem is that you can’t practise goalkeeping alone, so the kid is instead kicking the ball into a wall, and rushing over to make a save.

This will help improve his reflex and agility. Netizens were left gushing seeing the commitment and dedication of this young lad.

6) Radio Exercise

People in Japan have their own of tackling problems such as Coronavirus.

In the Land of the Rising Sun, they have a thing called ‘Radio Exercise’ wherein people at their homes, work and school simply turn on the radio they do simple stretching/exercises, which is very good for staying fit in quarantine times.

7) Playing Golf at home

Wales and Real Madrid footballer Gareth Bale’s love for golf is well pronounced. A few months earlier, he came in for heavy criticism for celebrating with a banner that read, ‘Wales, Golf Madrid. In that order.’

No wonders then, that Bale is playing golf in quarantine times for staying fit.

It’s a well-known fact by now that the Coronavirus Pandemic emerged in Wuhan, China. It was the worst affected place in the world at one point.
